An Invitation to Participate in the Superintendent Search Focus Groups
As most people in the community are aware, we have begun the process of searching for a new Superintendent of Schools.
To that end, the Hampton School Board has engaged the services of the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to assist in this important task. Dr. Ken DeBenedictis, an executive search consultant with NESDEC, will be assisting the Hampton School Board throughout the search process. As part of the search process, NESDEC will be conducting two focus groups on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
Focus groups are an important part of the process because they are designed to obtain the input of teachers, support staff, administrators, School Board members, parents and community members about the attributes, experience and knowledge they believe the new superintendent should possess. The focus groups also provide an opportunity for participants to identify immediate tasks on which the new superintendent should concentrate.
Each session will last approximately 1 – 1.5 hours.
The schedule for the focus groups is as follows:
September 22, 2010, 3:30 pm Administrators and Staff
Marston School Cafeteria
September 22, 2010, 7:00 pm
Hampton parents and all community members
Marston School Cafeteria
The Hampton School Board and NESDEC hope that you will be able to participate.
